Production equipment – from milling machines and machining centres through to injection moulding machines and even laser processing machines – forms the backbone of UK industry.
Yet, manual loading is often a repetitive and monotonous task, during which the production equipment itself remains idle.
Machine tending has proved to be a very popular first step on the road to automated manufacturing given its ability to quickly increase productivity, coupled with the fact that it can easily be upscaled to include end-of-line packaging and palletising.
A number of machine tending solutions will be on display, including a ROBODRILL α-D21MiB with M-10iA robot and comparative measurement feedback from a Renishaw Equator, as well as a Yamazaki Mazak machine tending cell with CR-7iA collaborative robot and Renishaw Equator.
